Privacy of Candidate's Personal Information
Trimac Transportation Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, referred to as “Trimac”) are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. Your personal information may be collected directly from you as a job applicant or Trimac may receive personal information from third parties, such as during a background check, driving record check, or reference check, subject to your consent where required by law. - personal contact details such as name, title, address, telephone numbers and e-mail address;
- medical information, where reasonably necessary and permitted by law;
- education history, including degrees and transcripts;
- work history and relevant experience as outlined in your curriculum vitae ("CV"), cover letter, and/or job application;
- compensation history;
- discipline history and performance evaluations;
- information collected during interviews, reference checks, and background checks;
- where required for the position to which you are applying, results of driving record search and drug and alcohol testing; and
- any other details regarding your potential employment with Trimac, including salary, eligibility to work in the country, willingness to relocate, and preferred work location.
Trimac will only use any personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, namely: assessing and evaluating job applications; verifying the information provided in your CV, cover letter, and/or job application; communicating with you about your application; complying with applicable laws related to the position to which you applied and maintaining our records with respect to the application and recruitment process. Trimac may also share your information with regulators and law enforcement; our third-party service providers; regulators and law enforcement; and affiliated entities. If Trimac needs to use your personal information for any unrelated purpose, we will first notify you and seek your consent if required by law.
Trimac will only disclose your personal information to third parties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Your personal information will be stored securely and will be protected through various security practices and measures. Additionally, your personal information will be stored for only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected (including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements) and as permitted by law. In some circumstances, we may de-identify your personal information for research, analytical or statistical purposes in which we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you, as permitted by applicable law.
Upon moving forward with this employment application, you acknowledge this privacy notice about the personal information collected from you and you hereby agree to provide Trimac with your consent to collect, use, disclose, and store your personal information as set out above. You are entitled to refuse or withdraw consent with respect to your personal information at any time, subject to applicable legal obligations. Please note that withdrawal of consent may affect Trimac’s ability to process, review and verify your application.
