Reporting to the Sr Director of Sales, the objective of this position is to grow revenues through new customer acquisition, as well as adding services to an existing book of business that will be allocated to the role.
Objectives also include working on commercial solutions to improve asset utilization in conjunction with operations and improving overall profitability of the book of business.
This role interacts with senior management, internal departments, legal counsel, operating terminals, frontline managers, external agents, industry representatives, competitors, and key contacts with current and potential customers.

· Assessing and identifying new revenue growth opportunities in strategic markets/regions by building new relationships with customers not yet identified via cold calling, etc.;
· Achieving and maintaining planned revenue and new business volumes by creating an opportunity pipeline that is shared across the organization;
· Monitoring and reporting to management revenue gains and short falls, service issues or concerns, special customer requests, competitive action on pricing and market penetration, and potential business including requirements for additional authority/capital or price considerations;

· Negotiating annual rate increases with allocated book of business;
· Monitoring and maximizing equipment utilization levels and applying innovative customer solutions to improve overall profitability;
· Working with terminal and region management in the onboarding of new business;
· Collaborating with the Service Centers to resolve customer service concerns;
· Collaborating with the Marketing Team on competitive action on pricing and market penetration;
· Managing and reporting all business activity through a CRM software solution;
· Selling “One Trimac” service to customers, including truckline, brokerage, and transload services; and
· Monitoring competitive activity and other external factors such as government policy, local market trends, etc. which can impact our business.
· High School Diploma required as a minimum
· College Business Administration or Undergraduate Degree preferred
