Job Details

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks including managing data through HR system, onboarding, managing safety renewals and overall support for the HR Team. This role is fast paced and allows for a high amount of exposure to various areas of a multi-faceted HR team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process semi-monthly, bi-weekly, weekly North American hourly & administrative payroll (Driver/Owner Operator/Shop/Washrack/Administrative)
• Validate and ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll & HR data and documentation
• Set up and maintain various deductions eg. Garnishment, union dues, licence, insurance etc.
• Process and maintain Record of Employments as legislated by Service Canada
• Prepare year end data including T-4, RL1, W-2 & 1099-NEC slips
• Prepare and distribute reports to operations and answer employee & Manager inquiries
• Communicate with a variety of internal and external parties (government agencies, unions, field staff etc.)
• Other duties and projects as required

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education
• Degree or Diploma with a major in Human Resources an asset
• UKG Pro experience is considered an asset
• 1-2 years in an HR, Accounting, or payroll position
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate(PCP) is considered an asset
