Job Details

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the President, Zengistics is critical to enabling long-term, scalable growth of our business. This role is an important part of our Revenue leadership team that is responsible for developing and executing the strategic roadmap to achieve growth, profitability, and market leadership in freight brokerage services. The President of Zengistics interacts with management, direct reports, and internal departments such as Billing, Operations, Legal, Credit and Collections of Trimac.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible to: 

 

  • Develop and execute the division’s strategic roadmap to achieve growth, profitability, and market leadership in freight brokerage services. 

  • Provide visionary leadership to a national brokerage network, overseeing sales, operations, carrier development, customer service, and P&L management. 

  • Build and scale a high-performing team; attract, develop, and retain top brokerage talent while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence. 

  • Oversee pricing strategy, margin optimization, and capacity management to maximize profit while meeting service-level commitments. 

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to guide forecasting, budgeting, investment decisions, and strategic planning initiatives. 

  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key shippers, carriers, and industry partners to drive long-term growth and customer loyalty. 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations to ensure the division remains competitive, compliant, and innovative. 

  • Leverage data analytics and technology to drive visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across the brokerage operation. 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on cross-functional initiatives, including technology implementation, digital brokerage strategies, and network expansion. 

  • Lead risk management efforts related to carrier compliance, credit, and operational disruptions. 

  • Hold full P&L responsibility for the freight brokerage division, driving financial performance and accountability across all business units. 

  • Report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer with regular performance updates, financial results, and strategic recommendations. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. 

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry. 

  • Proven experience in freight brokerage, P&L ownership, data analysis, business process improvement, and project management.
