Job Details

Reporting to the Vice President, National Tank Services (NTS), this role plays a critical part in monitoring service and equipment quality, supporting regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our operations.

Who You Are

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to inspection and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital inspection/reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO, DOT, Transport Canada).
  • Comfortable working in both field/shop and office environments.
  • Ability to work independently while following defined procedures and timelines.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and quality checks on services, assets, equipment, and facilities.
  • Verify that operational practices align with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and document instances of non-conformance and support corrective action implementation.
  • Assist with internal and external quality audits, including customer and regulatory inquiries.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and quality performance.
  • Support root cause investigations for non-compliance issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of quality control procedures and SOPs.
  • Provide input into monthly and quarterly quality reports and dashboards.

Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Train and coach frontline staff on quality procedures, documentation, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, safety, and compliance teams to align with quality expectations.
  • Participate in internal reviews and compliance assessments to drive operational consistency.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or inspection roles.
  • Knowledge of transportation industry standards is an asset.
