Job Details

As a Terminal Manager at Feldspar, you’ll be the key connection between our professional drivers, local customers, and internal teams. You’ll lead daily operations, support driver success, ensure safety, and help grow our business, while fostering a positive and productive terminal environment. This role is responsible for understanding and impacting the profit and loss of the operation.

 

This role reports to an Area Manager and interacts with Company Drivers, Independent Contractors, Service Centers, leadership, back-office functions and customers.

Responsibilities

Driver Operations

  • Oversee driver hiring, onboarding, and retention
  • Manage terminal P&L by monitoring driver performance, pay and scheduling
  • Support training, compliance and safety certifications
  • Handle driver concerns, coaching, and performance reviews

Safety & Compliance

  • Partner with Safety Specialists and lead safety initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free terminal
  • Conduct ride-alongs with drivers
  • Review safety events to continuously improve

 

Customer Relations

  • Build strong relationships with local customers
  • Identify opportunities to grow the customer base

 

Fleet & Equipment

  • Ensure the terminal has the right equipment to meet demand
  • Coordinate with maintenance and wash teams for fleet readiness

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of transportation operations or management experience 
  • Mandatory High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.   
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset;
