Job Details

The Manager, People Systems and Analytics ensures excellence in People data administration while developing the team’s capacity to act as a strategic partner. Leading a small team, this role oversees the day-to-day flow of people data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while transforming routine processes into reliable insights that support workforce planning, labor cost management, automation, and decision-making across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of People data, including new hires, terminations, and internal changes.
  • Oversee and continuously improve the HRIS (UKG Pro), including data processing, management, security, and user access.
  • Administer and maintain the company’s position control framework and oversee communications on systems changes.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with IT and other functions on integrations, updates, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with organization requirements, processes, privacy, DOT, and government regulations in both Canada and the U.S. including but not limited to programs such as NAL, U.S. Child Support reporting, EEO-1.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and associates, developing skills that evolve the function from transactional support to strategic insight.
  • Translate routine administration into reliable, scalable data that can inform workforce planning, labor cost optimization, and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in processes, reporting, and automation.
  • Deliver ad hoc and scheduled reporting using BI tools and UKG Pro.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive efficiently and improve data accuracy.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for people analytics and process automation aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as subject matter expert for people data management, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead system-wide updates, mass data changes, and acquisitions-related integrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People & Culture, Finance, Operations, and IT to elevate data quality and system capabilities.
  • Provide people data expertise to support broader business strategies and decision-making at the enterprise level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • 5–8+ years in HR analytics, business intelligence, or workforce planning, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Industry experience in transportation, logistics, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in enterprise HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., UKG Pro, ADP, Workday, Oracle) and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional projects in systems, data, and change management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner at the executive level.
