The In-house Claims Adjuster is responsible for supporting the business and managing the end-to-end general liability and auto claims process function for incidents that occur in either Canada or the US. You will be a member a small claims team within Trimac, supporting the team where necessary. This will include handling a dedicated portfolio of claim files, but also backing up team members when required. The position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims, while working collaboratively with various internal departments to streamline processes, enhance customer satisfaction and support organizational improvements through learning outcomes from incidents. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, extremely organized, diligent with a strong attention to detail. They will possess a significant amount of commercial trucking claims adjusting experience, strong analytical and communication skills and will be easily able to identify and manage issues, recommend improvements, and support claim resolution and process optimization. This position will also be responsible for engaging and managing critical external claims / litigation service vendors to support the timely and effective resolution of claims. This role reports into the Trimac’s legal department and will interact with Operations, Safety, Finance and Commercial teams on a regular basis. This includes executives, management, internal departments, legal counsel, operating branches, front-line managers, external agents, vendors, and key contacts with current and potential customers.
