Reporting to the Director, Sales Excellence, this position plays a critical role in enabling commercial performance through the governance and continuous improvement of sales processes, systems, data, and operating standards. This role is responsible for driving consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the commercial organization while supporting strategic growth initiatives throughout Canada and the U.S.

 

As Manager, Sales Excellence, you will serve as the business owner for CRM governance, commercial process optimization, customer data governance, and sales operating standards. You will partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Business Intelligence, IT, Marketing, and Customer Success to improve commercial effectiveness, support strategic initiatives, and ensure commercial data integrity across systems.

This role will focus on commercial process excellence, CRM and customer data governance, continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, sales performance insights, and cross-functional project leadership while supporting a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Who You Are

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) including admin-level functionality and data management.
  • Knowledge of sales process design, pipeline management, and forecasting methodology.
  • Ability to create, communicate, and maintain documentation for tools, templates, and procedures.
  • Effective collaborator who can engage with multiple departments to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and comfort with deadlines.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for:

  • Owning the development, governance, continuous improvement, and adoption of commercial processes, workflows, and operating standards that support scalable and efficient sales execution.
  • Serving as business owner for CRM (Salesforce or equivalent), including governance, user adoption, system enhancements, data quality, and process alignment.
  • Leading customer and commercial data governance initiatives to improve data consistency, cross-system alignment, and reporting reliability.
  • Coordinating onboarding, training, and enablement of new sales representatives to ensure consistent adoption of commercial processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Supporting commercial effectiveness through governance of commercial processes, opportunity management standards, pipeline progression, and sales operating disciplines.
  • Support forecast accuracy and commercial visibility through pipeline governance, opportunity management standards, sales stage compliance, and monitoring of pipeline progression
  • Leading win/loss review processes and leveraging commercial performance insights to identify opportunities for process improvement, sales effectiveness, and business growth.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and automation opportunities that enhance productivity, visibility, and user experience.
  • Monitor commercial performance, pipeline health, and sales effectiveness trends, translating business insights into actionable recommendations that improve commercial execution and decision making.
  • Supporting recurring business reviews, strategic planning activities, and ad hoc analysis to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Leading cross-functional projects and initiatives in partnership with Sales, Operations, Finance, Business Intelligence, IT, Marketing, and Client Success.
  • Monitoring progress toward key commercial objectives and supporting the successful execution of strategic organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, enablement, analytics, business process improvement, CRM management or related fields.
  • Experience supporting B2B sales teams in transportation, logistics, or industrial sectors (preferred).
  • Experience working with commercial data, sales performance metrics, and business process optimization.
